scrufilter for effluent sludge

The Scrufilter

The Scrufilter can be used to improve effluent sludge in many scenarios, including improving the discharge from sewage and effluent treatment plants, water recovery from industrial processes and filtration of surface water and well water.

Why use the Scrufilter to
improve effluent sludge?

  • Microfiltration for solids removal down to 20 microns.
  • CE approved, compact high capacity unit.
  • Flows up to 60 cubic metres per hour.
  • Range of screen sizes available: 20, 30, 40, 60, 80 and 100 microns.
  • Simple to install, no civil works required.
  • The Scrufilter is simple to maintain with screen plates can be changed insitu. Screens available in polyester and stainless steel.
  • 2 year warranty on all working parts.

How the Scrufilter works

See image to the right. Using a 40 micron cloth a reduction of 70 to 80% of the suspended solids is possible for the majority of tertiary treatment applications. The reduction in suspended solids is accompanied by a reduction in the COD, BOD5, phosphorus, nitrates and other substances. Custom designed filter sizes are available on request.
